Objective: to help Berdyansk plan water actions and introduce pilot projects for solving the most important problems of water quality.
The influence of the Mariupol Environmental Initiative turned to be useful not only within Mariupol. The Program has aroused a lot of interest in Azov region on the whole and in Berdyansk in particular. Since September 2003 Environmental Protection Agency has decided to extend the Mariupol Environmental Initiative to Berdyansk. The Program includes local action program elaboration by public environment counsel, and grant-giving to implement projects intended to solve the most important problems of water quality.
